Evenimente

  • 1718 - 1740: se desfăşoară prima etapă din planul austriac de colonizare a Banatului, val de colonizări numit şi "Colonizarea Caroliniană" (Karolinische Ansiedlung), după numele împăratului Carol VI.
  • 21 iulie: Se semnează Tratatul de la Passarowitz, în urma războiului austro-turc, prin care Banatul şi Oltenia sunt cedate Imperiului Habsburgic.
  • Începe să funcţioneze fabrica de bere de la Timişoara, cea mai veche de pe actualul teritoriu al Romaniei.
